Shuen-Li Spirit is an independent artist, dance member of Aniadi Art, pet sitter and channeller who specializes in creating animal portraits. She received her Honours Degree in Arts Education at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
As the daughter of a talented Art teacher, who also ran a private dog-rescue shelter, she learnt to draw and care for dogs at a very young age. Shuen-Li taught English and Fine Arts in secondary schools in Singapore before moving to Bali, where she studied yoga, massage and dance, and refined her skills in Batik painting.
Her love for animals continued in her work as a volunteer for the Bali Animal Welfare Association. After she permanently moved to the Netherlands, she volunteered at the Buitenwereld Kinderboerderij in Houten as an animal caretaker and Art & Craft teacher.
Shuen-Li started her own company ~ Art for the Gentle Spirit ~ as a unique expression of her joy; Joy in encouraging people to get in touch with their sensitivity and to attain clarity with regards to their desires.
Currently, Shuen-Li creates Batik and Pastel paintings. She also gives private Batik classes in her studio in Houten and has given Batik workshops in Utrecht, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant and Overijssel. As a dancer, she has performed in Amsterdam, Rijswijk, Houten, Breda, Den Helder and soon in Switzerland.
Shuen-Li is based in the Netherlands and lives together with her Dutch partner, Ron Willems, who is a Re-Attach therapist.
As an avid globetrotter, she is always on the lookout for international opportunities to share her skills with others.
